Thessalon Dental permanently closed on April 19, 2024.
Currently, it is our hope that Emily Golec will be able to remain in the suite as an independent hygienist. This process is in the works with the Town Council of Thessalon who is the landlord of the building.
Dr. Detert has accepted a new associate dentist position with Lake Superior Family Dentistry in Sault Ste. Marie. That office is located at 440 Pim St, Suite 2, across from Great Lakes Honda. That office can be reached by phone at (705)942-4994.

For patients who wish to continue with Dr. Detert at Lake Superior Family Dentistry, please send an email to hello@thessalondental.com and request that your records be transferred. You may also call Lake Superior Family Dentistry at (705)942-4994.
To Transfer to Another Dental Office:
For patients who wish to seek dental care elsewhere, please send an email to hello@thessalondental.com and indicate where you would like your records sent to, and indicate any additional family members that you would also want records transferred for. Alternatively, you may have your new office fax a records request to Fax # (705)508-2123.
To Pay Any Outstanding Balance:
If you have received a statement and have a balance owing, you may choose from the following payment methods:
